Is Bitcoin digital land an institutional asset class?

Not yet as an allocation, and the firm will say so plainly having owned it. What is institutional today is the property layer beneath it: permanent, verifiable title that settles on Bitcoin and survives the failure of any company, including the one that sold it to you. That layer has enterprise uses now. The land trade on top of it is a venture position and should be sized as one.
The honest read is the same one the firm gives on metaverse real estate, applied one substrate later. Digital land becomes an asset when something is built on it, someone visits, and ownership produces income. Bitmap satisfies the scarcity and title conditions better than anything before it and satisfies the traffic and income conditions not at all. An institution underwriting it on the first two alone is underwriting sentiment with better plumbing.
Where the firm does see near-term institutional demand is the adjacent one — the reason Skrybit acquired the business rather than the position. Anchoring records permanently to Bitcoin, with title to the space they occupy as well as the time they were written, is a real requirement for enterprises that need data to be provably unaltered and independently verifiable years later. That is a data integrity product with a land layer underneath, not a land trade with a data story attached, and the firm covers it on that basis.
